What makes the ultimate gravel bike? Obviously, it makes the rider happy. The answer is simple. But it has always posed a major challenge for development departments. Especially when it comes to carbon bikes. Manufacturing is complex and requires expensive molding tools. Production is only worthwhile in large quantities. However, this rules out individual customization. Either the bike fits or it doesn't. Compromises are usually part of buying a production bike.
With THE SUPERFAST, you don't have to compromise. It combines the advantages of series production and custom manufacturing. Whether as a frame set or a complete bike.
Our innovative gravel bike not only impresses with its outstanding quality. You can also customize many details yourself. This makes THE SUPERFAST the ultimate bike for you.
In fall 2024, we launched the unique THE SUPERFAST project. The goal was to create the ultimate gravel bike made in Germany. The bike was not to be developed behind closed doors, but with input from the community. Through social media surveys, anyone interested had the opportunity to vote on the important key points. This included fundamental questions such as the intended use, but also important details such as the type of cable routing. The results were incorporated directly into the development process. Everything was completely transparent. Every step in the creation of the bike was published on Instagram and Facebook, as well as on THE SUPERFAST blog on our website.
The frame set
The community wanted a gravel bike in the race category. Great, because we love fast bikes. The challenge: a race bike requires characteristics that seem to be mutually exclusive. Minimal weight and maximum stability. Good stiffness and noticeable comfort. To achieve this goal, the frame, fork, and cockpit were designed as a technical unit. The components are perfectly matched and also blend together visually.
The main frame is manufactured in one piece. This construction method is called one-piece monocoque. All carbon prepregs bond optimally during baking under pressure and fuse into a high-strength unit. Due to its complexity, only a few manufacturers use this manufacturing process. It differs greatly from the frame production common in large-scale factories, where individually manufactured segments are glued together.
The fork and cockpit are also manufactured using the one-piece monocoque construction method. The frame set has fully integrated cable routing. The cables run through the handlebars into the stem and from there directly into the frame or fork.
THE SUPERFAST stands for functional lightweight construction. Every component is designed to be as light as possible. The focus is on function. The manufacturing quality is so high that no paint is required. This saves weight and ensures the typical matt, shimmering carbon look. The bottle cage screws are made of hollow-drilled titanium and weigh only 1.06 grams each. All these details add up to make THE SUPERFAST one of the lightest gravel bikes in the world. The frame without storage compartment weighs just 789 grams in size M, breaking the magical 800-gram mark. The complete bike with top-of-the-range components weighs only 6.85 kilograms.
Many custom options
THE SUPERFAST is available as a frame set and as a complete bike. The ingenious modular system allows you to customize the bike to your personal preferences.
>> The cockpit is available in all standard sizes. With drops for racing or gravel. THE COCKPIT also offers an exclusive option. It can be customized. You can freely combine all stem lengths, handlebar widths, and drop variants. This guarantees a perfect riding position. Our manufacturing process and innovative production tools make this possible.
>> THE SUPERFAST can be ordered with or without a storage compartment. The storage compartment is sealed and removable. The locking lever is located on the top of the down tube and can be operated without tools. The storage compartment is equipped with all important tools and a spare inner tube.
>> The frame is available for both threaded bottom brackets (T47) and press-fit bearings. The high manufacturing quality and perfect fit of the bearings make press-fit bearings the first choice. However, according to a survey, many gravel bikers prefer a threaded bottom bracket. That's why both versions are available.
>> Single chainring or derailleur? THE SUPERFAST offers both options with a fully adjustable derailleur mount. Anytime. Without technical or visual compromises.
Every purchaser of THE SUPERFAST receives a high-quality book detailing the history of the bike. The book has 80 pages and contains many exclusive photos.
