Preparing for production

Blog [EN]

You can flip a light switch on and off. Starting carbon frame production? Not quite so simple. Manufacturing a frame like THE SUPERFAST is a complex, highly coordinated process - even more so when transitioning from prototype to full-scale production. By June 2025, THE SUPERFAST had passed every test with flying colors. But before the first frames could roll off the line, we had serious groundwork to lay.

First up: the question on everyone’s mind. What will THE SUPERFAST cost? Nothing about THE SUPERFAST is off-the-shelf – not the frame, not the hardware, not even the box. And that’s exactly what the price reflects. And then there’s component sourcing: A carbon frame is more than just the fibers. Seat clamps, thru axles, all the small essentials – every component has to be sourced in the right quantity, from the right place, at the right time. Getting to a production-ready state requires math, planning, and meticulous logistics. Once the supply chain is sorted, it’s all about craft. The layup process - placing every single prepreg layer by hand - demands precision, consistency, and feel. Training the layup crew took weeks. Every motion had to be second nature — from de-molding to finishing to final assembly. Like in music, a hit only happens when everyone hits their note.
